I think Yamamoto's BANKAI is a compressed Zanpakuto kinda like Ichigo's Bankai. >> This means, all that fire death power is now compressed in his blade. This could result that his bankai absolutely destroys anything it touches. As in, not just death, but total death. Nothing is left at all, even to be reincarnated. No body, no bones, no soul. Imagine getting poked by the blade and your arm starts turning into ashes and there's nothing you can do about it.... So yeah.
